New River Gorge, WV

I cross over the New River Gorge bridge every year on my trips down to Asheville and decided to spend some time photographing this awesome bridge.

The New River Gorge Bridge is a steel arch bridge that is 3,030 feet long and until recently, it was the the world’s longest single-span arch bridge (currently it is the fourth longest). It is also at 876 feet high, the third highest bridge in the U.S.

The area around the bridge is beautiful and is a great spot for hiking, climbing, camping, and excellent food! Check out Secret Sandwich Society in Fayetteville, one of Jon and my favorite restaurants, just after crossing the bridge on the left when heading south.

When purchasing photos, please note that Metal Prints are highly recommended. They are printed on a sheet of aluminum, provide a high-gloss, brilliant finish and don't need to be framed! Metal prints are located under wall art (not paper prints) when purchasing photos.
