Misty Fjords National Monument, Alaska

The Misty Fjords National Monument was a spectacular sight. As we pulled into Rudyerd Bay, we were greeted by soaring cliff sides capped by misty, wispy clouds. The pine trees grew into the rocky mountain sides and seemed to touch the water. Vivid yellow, orange, and green moss grew over the rocks.  I was struck by the quiet as we chugged through the bay, gazing up at the beautiful surroundings.
